Is there a way to save a custom footer. I know how to make one, but is there a way it can be saved in that drop down list so I do not have to retype the same custom footer each time? Thanks.

Howdy. I don't know of a direct way to do that. However, you can create a template (as described in link), which has the footer/header already defined as you need/want.

Default Headers and Footers (http://exceltips.vitalnews.com/Pages/T0652_Default_Headers_and_Footers.html)

Thanks for the reply. I too know how to do that, but for this task I am doing that will not work. Thank you for the help.

I personally do not think it is possible.

The other way to do it is to write a short piece of code and put it into the Personal Macro Workbook, so that you could assign to a button and have one-button access to make the change.
