I need to do a document where there will be several general but related topics. I'm guessing the first thing I need to do is to seperate these into sections ? Next I would like to have the name of the topic in the header. Is this possible? How would I proceed? Thanks for any help - I'm trying to find my old Word book...

Insert the section breaks, then on the toolbar you get when you View Header/Footer, unlink the headers ('Same as previous' toggles on and off separately for headers and footers). Then you can have different headers in each section. To reduce frustration, put the first section header in, then go to the next section, unlink and repeat...

 - should be on the Header and Footer toolbar. If you haven't yet inserted the section breaks it will be greyed out.

Look for the "link to previous " button.

Look for the "link to previous " button.

Ok. found the button... Seems you should be able to drill down into as well...

Anyway - Thanks!

Obviously MS doesn't think we more-or-less understand the same language in the US and UK  - sorry Ken, it's 'Same as previous' over 'ere :p
