Hello all,

I would like to hear testimonials, complaints, suggestions on software to secure, encrypt, or password protect an external hard drive we have at work that contains very sensitive data. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I want this drive to be as secure as possible, as such, it would need to make the hard drive non-openable on a Mac and PC unless the passcode is entered. The hard drive is formatted as FAT36

Thanks!

Vassago

Can't give you any personal testimonials but I've got a couple of links for you:

This (http://www.cypherix.co.uk/cryptainerle/index.htm?adv=ec_e) is highly rated, easy to use and free - in fact it claims to use 448 bit encryption for passwords  Got some fantastic reviews as well - I'd give this a go.
This (http://www.magic2003.net/?tag=de&gclid=CLyG15fr4YMCFRVPEgodLWS78A) also looks good
Loads here (http://www.thefreecountry.com/security/encryption.shtml) but not checked the links

You could also check tucows (http://www.tucows.com) or download.com (http://www.download.com)
