I want to remove windows 2000 default game from my computer. (Freecell, Pinball etc.) I search the internet and I found some information about it to delete "Hide" from the file "sysoc.inf". I tried this but it does not work. Any ideas.

Thanks

The easiest way, in XP that is - sorry can't remember if 2000 is the same is to go to start > control panel > add/remove > windows components > accessories and utilities > details and highlight games and click next. This should work.

By editing the sysoc.inf file you are adding the add/remove option for games into the add/remove > windows components > accessories and utilities part of the control panel so if it wasn't there before you edited the file it should be now - if you edited the right part of course - this line should look like this:

Games=ocgen.dll,OcEntry,games.inf,,7

TBH is no big deal having them there you could always delete the games folder from the menu bar :p

You could move the folder:

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start menu\Programs\Accessories

remove from the user account also?

Just a thought.

You can also rename or delete the actual game files.

Wild guess..
can't u just go to add/remove programs>add/remove windows components>and uncheck games?
Haven't used windows2k but think it works in other versions
