Vassago 10-09-2006, 07:42 PM I can only assume she doesn't know she is using a different account than her old one or she somehow locked herself out of her old one.
You okay Pat?
WayneRyan 10-10-2006, 12:33 AM A rose by any other name ...
ChrisO 10-10-2006, 01:27 AM Yes Wayne, the quality is still there so it’s still the same rose.
That’s what made me ask and, like Vassago, I hope all is still well.
Regards,
Chris.
Jacob Mathai 10-10-2006, 05:33 AM There was an old TV show (in the USA) called "To Tell the Truth".
At the end of the show, the moderator asks (like this): "Will the real Pat Hartman, please stand up".
Pat, we love to hear from you that all is well with you.
Mile-O 10-10-2006, 06:09 AM I know something had happened a while back with her account, but I thought she (or Jon  ) had resolved it.
nikkypickles 10-10-2006, 06:18 AM Maybe I'm imagining things, but I'm sure I saw a post from her yesterday?

Pat posted yesterday at 11:44pm in the theory and design forum.

Yes, but the last activity on her 18,000 post count, Super Moderator username was October 4th. Maybe she got locked out of it?
Pat Hartman 10-10-2006, 06:00 PM And the answer is ---
I'm in Birmingham, Al working on site at a client's office so those PatHartman posts were made from there. My "real" account name includes a space and for the past few months, I haven't been able to type it in and be recognized. Could be some version update. Maybe those of you with spaces in your names can work out the problem. Anyway, at some point a few months ago, I deleted all my cookies on my primary PC and got locked out for a few days because I couldn't get in by using the name with the space. I finally worked out that I could copy the cookie from my laptop around the same time I remembered my other account.
As you can see, the PatHartman account is old also. It dates from a previous time the site had a melt down and my name with a space account stopped working.

Now my dear friends, these are the facts of "just being curious" Pat Hartman. We are glad it has a happy ending. Pat's doing well.

How often does this site have meltdowns? It seems to happen with alarming regularity. :D

I hate names with spaces. fieldnames. tablenames. filenames. controlnames. "Spaces" scare me!
I inherited this huge (convert BE to sybase) db a while ago that had ridiculous spaces in every controlname,fieldname...just to say i was traumatized for months and had to go to a spiritual healing center by the time i was done with the project. Since then, when i come across ANY 'name' with spaces in them i get flashbacks, i start sweating, blood pressure rises, i faint.
please take out the space in your name. thank you.
:D

I've been going through something similar here, updating an old DB where every single field name, table name, form name and query name had spaces in it. It drove me nuts but I renamed every single thing in the DB so there would be no spaces. I can sympathize.

Notice i said "Name (http://www.answers.com/noun&r=67)"? not sentence. not phrase. not a memo. Just "name".
So feel free to put spaces in your sentences. thank you
:D
pdx_man 10-19-2006, 01:22 PM Shouldn't that be [Name]?
Mile-O 10-20-2006, 01:43 AM Reserved word. Be more descriptive. ;)
