Copying forms complete with code? Access 2k

Can anyone advise why when copying, exporting or importing into any of my DB, any forms containing code, I get the following

"Network connection may have been lost" etc. error box.

I have had this issue for years and have always worked around by creating the forms from scratch and copying/entering the code behind the events, but I continually see advise here to copy / import forms.
This copying also corrupts the DB importing the form, even if deleting the newly imported form and code. This also prevents the DB being saved into an MDE

I have also experienced this when importing reports that contain event coding

As I do have a work-around this issue this only an inquiry to see if I am alone in this issue or if is it common problem?
