I am having trouble opening a file I created like 6 years ago. The verison has changed and I have changed computers. When I try to open the file I am receiving an error. That the current user account doesn't have permission to convert or enable this database. Is there a way to correct this? Thanks

Permissions were asserted on the file. Also, workgroup security might have been asserted.

You need darn near Full Control over the file and the folder where it resides - with respect to Windows permissions.

You need the workgroup file (.wkg) that goes with the database to be able to open it in a mode that allows you to do a structural update.
