Please is there anyone out there who is prepared to help a retired old duffer get to grips with setting up a PC and all about putting a web page on the internet. I tried it once and made a complete mess of it. Because I live on a pension I can't afford to waste money and you hear such tales about people going broke through trading on the internet I'm scared of it all. But I must warn you I'm a computer dimwit and though I can use a PC OK (I was a computer typesetter) anything to do with setting one up has to be spelt out in words of one syllable.
Any help would be much appreciated.

Where do you want to start? You can post here or post at my board located here (http://www.traitnet.com/scripts/default.asp). I am not any type of computer genious but I get around Windows pretty well.
