Hi,

Can somebody help me please?

I use Outlook 2003 and for some reason it has started playing up. Whenever i start up, periodically whilst running and on shuting down Outlook, it does an automatic send / receive as expected. My problem is this, it is trying to send 2 emails from the outbox that do not exist, e.g. the Outbox is empty. Basically i get the message in the status bar 'Sending message 1 of 2' , the Send/Receive Progress form shows sending as progressing and then shows an error about timing out.

This is beginning to bug me. i have uninstalled Outlook and reinstalled but it is still doing it. I also use Thunderbird without a problem so i don't believe it is my ISP (Yahoo).

Is there a way of 'purging' Outlook?

Any help / advice offered most welcome.

Regards

Alan

Most likely it's an undeliverable read receipt - have you used those ? clicky (http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/delete_rr.htm) how to delete a read receipt.

And of course do a full anti-virus scan ;)

Minkey,

No haven't used Read Receipts and have done a full virus scan.

Will give the Outlook Tip go.

Many Thanks
