Hi.
My computer died, so I ordered a barebones system figuring that I will add my previous hardware to it.

My question is this: It comes with both IDE drive and SATA drive connectors. If I put my IDE drive on the SATA connector with one of the adapters you can find on the web, will I see any speed improvement over having it on the IDE connector?

You'll see no difference - you'll only be able to access an IDE drive at it's maximum speed which ever connection you use.

These IDE to SATA 'connectors' (which are actually bridges) are designed to accommodate an IDE drive on a SATA motherboard or visa versa, not to increase the access speed of an IDE drive on a SATA motherboard.

Thanks! Sorry it took so long to acknowledge.
