I have been approached by a few people lately looking for database programs. I will usually recommend Access but then it turns out they have an Apple.
Is there a DBMS for Apple?

Filemaker. They just issued a new release maybe only few weeks ago. Have heard great things about FileMaker.

Yep FileMaker is good but it's not free Open Office (http://www.openoffice.org/) however is and the database app (Base) is very similar to Access.

Agree, Filemaker would be the one for Maccy.

Don't laugh I am using file maker ver 5 now.... It is a lot easier to use IMHO then access. I can only imagine how the new versions are.

If you have worked in access for a while it will take you a little time to get used to the way things are laid out and where they are.......

But I like it so far, especially for the little things I have had to use it for.
