First of all, for áéíóú 'grave' accents (I know that's probably spelt wrong), the quick way to type is

Ctrl + Alt + a (or e, i, o or u)
Include Shift for capitalization

The other way and to get others, such as ç, go to the character map.

Start > Programs > Accessories > Character Map.

Go to any 'non-symbol' font, eg Arial and it will show you the possibilities. Click on any one you want eg æ and in the bottom right hand corner you will see

Keystroke: Alt + 230
(hold down Alt and type 230 on the number keypad).

You can also copy and paste these, but you'd be as well to take note of the keystrokes of the ones you'll be using.
