don't forget sept 19 is International Talk Like A Pirate day. I know it's two weeks away, but I have oncologist appts that day, so I will miss spending it with you folks. Anyway, I went ahead and got my pirate name ahead of time:

Black Davy Flint

Get Yours Here (http://www.piratequiz.com/)

If I get out at a decent time, I will join the fray...Idjit just goes nuts on that day!!! :D

When I first glanced at this thread's title I thought it said: I want to beat Idjit to a pulp. Still a pirate-like title, I suppose. Drink and the devil be done for the rest...

I forgot my name from the last couple of times, but I think it usually changes anyway, so here goes!

Your pirate name is:
Iron Jenny Bonney

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. You can be a little bit unpredictable, but a pirate's life is far from full of certainties, so that fits in pretty well. Arr!

As on the 19th I shall be bathing in a sunlit Spanish swimming pool full of Sangria with the object of drinking my way out all the way to the tapas restaurant here's mine. I seem to have mellowed a bit since last time. Fetch me an apple from the bottom of the barrel Jim lad arr!

Every pirate lives for something different. For some, it's the open sea. For others (the masochists), it's the food. For you, it's definitely the fighting. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

You could make one - it's hardly rocket science.

And you wouldn't be able to rent one, you either buy one at the chemist shop or you don't. Rental is not an option. Thats like saying "I want to rent some gloves" - not possible:rolleyes:

I suggest you check your local formal wear rental shop.

You can rent gloves by the day.
You have to rent the formal morning or afternoon suit as well (the striped pants outfit).
It comes as part of the package.

It seems my humour is a little too subtle. I'll try again...

I have the beard, where can I rent a black hat with a skull and crossbones.

I just realized, I don't know any pirates.
Can I take a brigand to lunch. There's no shortage of them. Most hold elected office.

Bloody Davy Rackham

"You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!"

ARRGGHHHHH!!

I don't know how it came up with this , but I quite like it.

Now how to live up to it is the problem. :(

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Two things complete your pirate persona: style and swagger. Maybe a little too much swagger sometimes -- but who really cares? Arr!

Since I'm part native American, I took a slightly variant pirate name:

Pirate Chief Sitting Goldberg.

(Only PART native American...)

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a little bit. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!
