talking of monkeys -

in my time in the forces - spent 6 years HM Forces- anyway the germans used to call us Island Monkeys- cos we speak very fast and it sounds a bit like a troop of chimps..

No its was fine -
you should of seen us-chattering away - laughing -
it was said without malice and meant in the same way as you might call someone from scotland -Jock or from Ireland Paddy

What was funny though was when we found out - they thought we would be upset -and you know Brit humor - we though it was ok, funny :)
