When I move/copy, or create a new folder on my desktop, the folder and all it's content is being encrypted. Is there a setting within Windows that ecrypts everything on the desktop? How can I get this to stop?

If the checkbox that says MAKE THIS FOLDER PRIVATE is checked, that is why. It may not be checked but you can look also at: C:\Documents and Settings\YourNameHere\Desktop and do the same test. If the checkbox is checked, you should be able to uncheck it to stop the encryption. scgamecock 12-04-2007, 11:01 AM The second option fixed the problem.
