Hi everyone,
am working on a laptop(Dell-Inspiron),but i seem not to find whats wrong with it...while using it it just showed that it was going into hybernation,after that it has never switched on.When i plug it to the mains there is no sound and the lcd-lights dont come on.

To get it back working I suggest you unplug it from the mains and remove the battery, reinsert the battery and hit the power button and it should power back on. You should then disable hibernation from the power settings at least for now.

i already tried that but it didnt power up.

I think the hibernation cache is cluttered basically run disk cleanup and clear the hibernation tmp files and disable hibernation then re-enable it after restarting your laptop/pc. Then give it a try should do the trick hopefully.

hello all,

please can you lemme know a suitable solution for this issue? I am in a similar position and unable to pwer-up my Dell-Inspiron/510m laptop.

Since I am unable to power-up at all and the battery is completly dry how do I go about accessing the "hibernation cache"

Kindly help.

Hi,

I had a very similar issue as this which i traced to a faulty battery.

I over-came it by removing the power lead, removing the battery, replacing the power lead and switching on - accessing the net and ordering a new battery!!
