I want to delete check boxes from my excel document. The Developer ribbon is there and I see how to add them... but I do not want them ... How to make them disappear ????
Please explain the process step by step ... I am a computer dummy ...

Thanks a bunch Bob! This was such a good reply but now ... a step further: how can I delete them all in one go? Is there a kind of "select all" option I could use?
I have plenty of those check boxes and other kinds of little icons that I would like to delete all together without having to select them one at the time (even with ctrl click).

1. Click into Design Mode
2. Go to the HOME tab
3. On the Find & Replace icon (looks like binoculars) click the little down arrow next to the word "Replace" and select the option near the bottom of the list titled "SELECT OBJECTS"
4. Click and drag a window around all of the objects you want highlighted
5. Hit your Delete key.
Fantastic for the little icons: I could delete them all but not all the check boxes... I still have to delete them one by one. Any advice?
Thanks! Your explanations are great!

Actually, I don't have any more suggestions around this one. Sorry.
It happens, don't worry ... if you ever find out, let me know!
Now, I have another challenge! Ready ? The internet icons I am saving on my destop appears nicely but their link to the selected webpage comes back with an error message about the spelling ...
I am able to save folders but not the internet icon though.
Do you have a tip for that ?

I don't have 2007, but in 2003, there are a couple of ideas:
1. On the draw tool bar, there is a white arrow, and by pushing it, it allows you to select all objects.
2. There is a distinction between the objects created from Control toolbox and from the Forms toolbar. Is that still true for 2007?

Shades - Thanks for the attempted help, but...
1. On the draw tool bar, there is a white arrow, and by pushing it, it allows you to select all objects.
No draw toolbar like before. It is mixed in to the ribbon and the select objects is what I suggested but it doesn't work for forms objects
2. There is a distinction between the objects created from Control toolbox and from the Forms toolbar. Is that still true for 2007?
Yes, that is still true for this version

Okay, perhaps in 2010 or 2011 I may try Office 2007. :D
