hi kinda new to access and im almost done my first database except for this problem.

I have a combo box in a subform that will not allow me to select anything in the dropdown box. it gives me this message at the bottom of the screen "to make changes to this field, first save the record" then it says "calculating..." then it finally goes back to saying "form view"

the subform pulls information together from 2 tables if that helps

anyone have any ideas what the problem is?
