Not sure what version of Access you are using but here's a tutorial on Queries

that is really good. The update queries are dealt with further down in the page.

So, is there a way to have an Update Query update based off of a spreadsheeT?

The tutorial seems to indicate that you can only do an Update __ with ___ if X condition is met.
