Hi

Our Database Administrator very kindly migrated the latest version of our SQL Server database into my development area while I was working on the Access front end to it. The Access front end uses a whole lot of linked tables, in fact most of the tables are linked to SQL. Don't ask, the whole project is a mess, the legacy of several different developers not having time to do things properly. Actually, I couldn't even log into my Access front end.

You guessed it, he didn't make a back up of the SQL side before he migrated it, and the only backup we had was from about two months ago. We did restore this but things just don't work the way they are supposed to, or even the way they did before.

The DbA had to drop my user name and recreate it to give me access again. I then had to relink all the tables and I now find that some tables aren't being picked up. On my main table there is supposed to be a drop down list of users, the drop down list is empty, but all the users are there in SQL.

Now, joy of joys, he has gone off on holiday and I have users screaming for the latest update to their database so that they can complete their year end reports.

Any suggestions?? Please? :o
