Hi, I was using access 2000 but now the company is migrating to office 2003 so I have to start using it, well today I was trying to create a new database and it creates a new one but it says (Access 2000 file format), is it a normal message?
I already tried replacing or converting the mdw file to access2003, but it doesn't matter, when I create I new data base it says access 2000, after this I have to coonvert this new data base to access 2002-2003 format, but I think something is wrong.
My question, do I have to convert every new database to access 2002-2003 even if they were created in access 2003?

Thanks.

I don't have 2003 in front of me, but I think there was something in Tools/Options that specified the default. I have it at home if you can't find it.

It is in Tools/Options/Advanced.

Sorry I forgot to ask if I can continue using the same security workgroup, I mean my original workgroup is 2000, can I still use it in access 2003?
Using mdw file wont generate erros in my new db created?

I never use Access Security, so any answer I gave you would be speculation. Hopefully someone who has used it in this context will jump in here.

You should convert the workgroup also. Find the Security FAQ and follow its directions exactly.
