:( Hi everyone,
I'm working with a very large database: Columns A-CY, rows 7000
I don't know how I did this, but the data in half of my columns AD-CY do not
correspond to the rows they should. I suspect I did this while using the function "sort". Is there any way I can arrange my data back to its original
order? is there any function I can use in access or excel that would allow me to do this? I have an original motherboard where the columns are in order, however my new dataset has new columns and rows
thanks

Sounds like you sorted on A-AC but ignored AD=CY, can you resort to original order making sure that you again ignore AD-CY, if not then as I am assuming that there is nothing in AD -CY to tie into A-AC then I cannot suggest anything.

You're pretty screwed here. Go back and restore the data from your backup. If you don't have a backup then you're even more screwed but at least you now understand the importance of keeping back ups.
