Hi all,

My spreadsheet has 2 activex text boxes.

When a user enters information into a normal cell outside of these boxes, then clicks on a text box to input more information, it doesn't allow this.

You have to click off this cell, then you can select the text box.

is there any way around this?

It appears to lock the text boxes if a cell is active.

Has anyone else noticed this?

Quite a number of excel functions aren't available when editing a cell and AFAIK there is no way round it. Never been an issue for me as I tend to press enter once I have entered values into a cell.

Thanks for the feedback.

It unfortunately is to be used by people who would flag this up as an issue.
I could always put some text in to say press enter or click off the cell. You would be amazed how many people would not read it though, as I have done a similar thing in the past.

No I wouldn't be suprised in the slightest, plenty of morons where I work as well. used to work with a guy who would print of a graph then draw a line from a datapoint to the y-axis and measure the intercept to calculate the value.
