Hi,

why does Access 2007 periodically show the message
"Windows cannot find C:\MyFile\User|database.accdb'. Make sure you typed the name correctly, and then try again"

once you press ok, it opens the file anyway!

can this be suppressed or what is the cause?

Is this Vista? If so, you probably have run into an issue with Vista's security "features" (aka breaking everything that works on other platforms).

If it's not Vista, I have no clue.

it is vista. all of the security features are turned off ( i think ). especially the damn UAC thing!
