To whom ever can help.

Last night I was going through some of my many sample db's and I think the last one I looked at required me to login. After trying many things to access the db, it occured to me to type Admin and then the password, which I used password. Well, It worked and so I looked around and got out and went to bed. Ok, with that said, I open my main db (ver. 2003) this morning which has no security on it. Now it shows me a Logon screen and I must type in Name: Admin and Password: password. I tried opening another one (ver. 2007) that I'm working on and it did the same thing. They will open after I put in the right info, but it wasn't there before and I don't want it there now. What did I do to screw this up.

Op: Windows Vista Ultimate
Office: 2007 Professional

Thanks in advance for any help with this.

Tom

Oh, dear. You're not first.

Take a look there. (http://access-programmers.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=153436) It has explanation and how to fix it.

HTH.

Thanks Banana for the link. I tried to find the system.mdw and can't locate it. There was one person in that post that found it, but they didn't explain as to how they found it or where. If this helps, I am running Vista Ult. and Office Pro 2007. If anyone knows where to locate it please let me know.

Thanks,
Tom

Well, I can't believe it but I found it. I had to go into the regedit and find where it was.
Here is the location: C:\Users\YOUR NAME HERE\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Access
Now this path is on a Vista Ultimate machine running Office Pro 2007.
I got a safe or unaltered file "system.mdw" off of my laptop. I will try to post it if I can figure out how.
