View Full Version : Access Report to Excel - Arabic become Garbled

I am using Microsoft Access 2000 (9.0.3821 SR-1). I have created a report that displays information in Arabic. However, when I try to choose the option "Analyze It with MS Excel" it converts the Arabic into some strange characters. Its quite strange that I can type in the information in Arabic and see the report being created in Arabic but the conversion to Excel causes this problem. I am able to generate the word document that does also come out in Arabic but I am unable to use the information into another Excel report as it only displays it as image and not something that I may manipulate.

I am not familiar with this problem, but have you tried other ways of getting it into excel, File>Export, then save as .xls? It just occurs to me that maybe the "analyze it" function is doing something quirky.

Well I was able to get the IT department to solve the issue for me. From what I understand the person modified the language function on the Windows 2000 Professional to include Arabic which essentially resolved the problem.
