I've noticed that when I open a db in Access 07 I can see the name of the db at the top of the window (where it says Microsoft Access), but as soon as I open a table, the name of the db goes away. I can’t figure out how to permanently display the name of the db. This is a big problem for me as I always have multiple dbs open that look exactly the same, and I very easily forget which db is which. Short of sticking post its to my monitors, I’m not sure how to deal with this.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

In the event that anyone does have an answer, I would like to ask the same question about Access 2003.

If you go to the startup options and put the name of the database into the Application Title, it should keep that title up there when you open items. For example, if I name my app TEST APP, and then open a table it will show TEST APP - [MyTableName:Table] etc.

This works perfectly in Access 2003. Thanks Bob!

Unfortunately, this does not seem to work in Access 2007. I'm still getting only "Microsoft Access" in the title bar, even after setting the Application Title property.

It works fine if you don't open it while holding shift down. If you open it by doing that then you won't get the name.
