I have been playing around with icons and images, in png and gif format.

It seems that the problems I have been having depend on wether I am on a work computer with Access 2003 or home with Access 2003.

If at home I can add a gif file with a transparent background no problems as an image.

On my work computer I cannot. Even cutting and copying from word with the .gif and then making the image background in access transparent does not work.

I have put an example of the gif file that I have which came from a png file below.

Of course I can solve this by opening the DB on my home computer adding the image and then going back to my work computer (which I have tried and it works) but I am interested to know if anyone else has had this happen.

No, not that in particular, but a few years ago I had a very strange problem, at home the printout was perfect, but at work, any printing left out character "P" (I think) this was a long time ago, about five years, So my recollection is hazy to say the least!

The nature of the project changed significantly And I left it before I could ferret out the cause of this problem.

I mention it because at the time I assumed it was different character sets on the computers, something like that, in other words a solvable problem however seeing your post makes me think there may be something else involved.
