Captain Jack Kidd

Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!

Are we related Mrs. G?

To'morrow marks th' return 'o speak like a scurvy pirate day! whar's me spiced rum?

Dread Pirate Rackham

Like the famous Dread Pirate Roberts, you have a keen head for how to make a profit. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!

Ok, here's me, not sure about the smell part as I put that I bathe daily....

Dirty Bess Cash

You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!!

Edit: Oh yeah, there were two question I couldn't read as the advertisement was in the way......So I answered no. :(

My pirate name is Mad William Read. Here is the description that they provided.

Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a
little bit. Even through many pirates have a reputation for not being
the brightest souls on earth, you defy the sterotypes. You've got
taste and education. Arr!

MrsGorilla

Arrr, here be my name! It seems to change from year to year. :)

Iron Jenny Vane

A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. You tend to blend into the background occaisionally, but that's okay, because it's much easier to sneak up on people and disembowel them that way. Arr!

Arr, Here be my pirate name

Dread Pirate Flint

Like the famous Dread Pirate Roberts, you have a keen head for how to make a profit. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!

Actually, pirates never spoke like that at all.

It was invented by Robert Newton for the film / TV series Treasure Island.

So all you are actually doing is copying an actor.

That doesn't make it any less fun. :)

What it is doing though is propogating a typical sterotype which is totally false. Something I have been chastised and banned for in the past.

But as you are American I suppose it doesn't count against you. Again it's one rule for some and another for others.

If I do it again and get told off, I'll refer to this thread as being the benchmark for it being allowed.

Anyway, I can't hang around here - I'm off to Spain now.

Because we're being offensive to all the seventeenth century pirates that visit AWF? OK.

Vassago

If you produce a 17th century pirate and they admit that what we are doing is offensive, I will ban myself.

Until then, bugger off to Spain and have fun. :)
