:D
Vassago 09-19-2008, 12:41 PM Captain Jack Kidd
Even though there's no legal rank on a pirate ship, everyone recognizes you're the one in charge. Even though you're not always the traditional swaggering gallant, your steadiness and planning make you a fine, reliable pirate. Arr!
Are we related Mrs. G?
ColinEssex 09-19-2008, 01:32 PM This thread is not the same without Tay.

statsman 09-20-2008, 09:30 AM I was all set to register my name as "Fools Gold".
Then I realized it was PIRATE, not PYRITE.
MrsGorilla 09-20-2008, 04:28 PM I was all set to register my name as "Fools Gold".
Then I realized it was PIRATE, not PYRITE.
:D So, the name "Fool's Gold" fits nicely then?
Well, there are plenty of fools around here! :D Oo-arrrrr! I jest, but am glad that ye pirates still celebrate Pirate Day. I'm only late here as some rapscallion corsair sank my ship! Arghh!
statsman 11-04-2008, 07:51 AM Captain Jack Kidd

And best of all, you're the first one they hang from the highest yardarm in the fleet :D
Vassago 09-18-2009, 10:20 AM To'morrow marks th' return 'o speak like a scurvy pirate day! whar's me spiced rum?
Dread Pirate Rackham
Like the famous Dread Pirate Roberts, you have a keen head for how to make a profit. You have the good fortune of having a good name, since Rackham (pronounced RACKem, not rack-ham) is one of the coolest sounding surnames for a pirate. Arr!
Kryst51 09-18-2009, 10:27 AM Ok, here's me, not sure about the smell part as I put that I bathe daily....
Dirty Bess Cash
You're the pirate everyone else wants to throw in the ocean -- not to get rid of you, you understand; just to get rid of the smell. You're musical, and you've got a certain style if not flair. You'll do just fine. Arr!!
Edit: Oh yeah, there were two question I couldn't read as the advertisement was in the way......So I answered no. :(
MSAccessRookie 09-18-2009, 10:36 AM My pirate name is Mad William Read. Here is the description that they provided.
Every pirate is a little bit crazy. You, though, are more than just a
little bit. Even through many pirates have a reputation for not being
the brightest souls on earth, you defy the sterotypes. You've got
taste and education. Arr!
MrsGorilla 09-18-2009, 10:48 AM Arrr, here be my name! It seems to change from year to year. :)
Iron Jenny Vane
A pirate's life isn't easy; it takes a tough person. That's okay with you, though, since you a tough person. You tend to blend into the background occaisionally, but that's okay, because it's much easier to sneak up on people and disembowel them that way. Arr!
georgedwilkinson 09-19-2009, 10:25 AM Arrrr, the day has indeed arrived.
I celebrated by making my WoW toons into pirates!
Friday 09-19-2009, 07:54 PM Calico Davy Flint. Not sure about that first word, though...
Vassago 09-19-2011, 08:46 AM Ahoy! Avast ye scallywags! It be the return o' Talk Like A Pirate Day! May ye cups be fill't with grog! Arrrrrrr!
Rabbie 09-19-2011, 12:21 PM Arr, Here be my pirate name
Dread Pirate Flint
Like the famous Dread Pirate Roberts, you have a keen head for how to make a profit. Like the rock flint, you're hard and sharp. But, also like flint, you're easily chipped, and sparky. Arr!
Davep 09-19-2011, 01:26 PM Actually, pirates never spoke like that at all.
It was invented by Robert Newton for the film / TV series Treasure Island.
So all you are actually doing is copying an actor.
Col
Vassago 09-19-2011, 02:15 PM Fine by me. :)
MrsGorilla 09-20-2011, 10:45 AM So all you are actually doing is copying an actor.
That doesn't make it any less fun. :)
Davep 09-21-2011, 02:27 AM That doesn't make it any less fun. :)
What it is doing though is propogating a typical sterotype which is totally false. Something I have been chastised and banned for in the past.
But as you are American I suppose it doesn't count against you. Again it's one rule for some and another for others.
If I do it again and get told off, I'll refer to this thread as being the benchmark for it being allowed.
Anyway, I can't hang around here - I'm off to Spain now.

Because we're being offensive to all the seventeenth century pirates that visit AWF? OK.
Vassago 09-21-2011, 12:08 PM If you produce a 17th century pirate and they admit that what we are doing is offensive, I will ban myself.
Until then, bugger off to Spain and have fun. :)
MrsGorilla 09-21-2011, 12:12 PM Until then, bugger off to Spain and have fun. :)
And come back in a better mood. :)
