Hey everyone,

In my Access 2003 prof. when I go to design a report, anytime I create or modify a text box, things freeze for about 5 sec or more. I tested it on an empty database and I get the same result so I don't think it is an issue of too much data. Anyone have any suggestions or ever experienced a similar problem?

Thanks in advance!

Be sure you have a local printer defined, even if it not actually there.

This has been a pain for months and now it works great. Thanks a bunch!

Explain what you mean by defining a local printer. How/where do I do this?

Just add a new printer to your system and make it local to your machine. It does not have to actually be attached. I believe a Text Only printer will work.

Thanks! I have a local printer installed...I was hoping there was something simple I had missed to help me out. In my case, I guess I can truly blame it on the network.

Is it during design mode or while actively running the application? If the latter then have you tried some of these (http://www.granite.ab.ca/access/performancefaq.htm) suggestions?
