Hi,
I need a good book! I'm not new to VB but I need a good, solid book which assumes a basic understanding but which leans towards intermediate to advanced levels.
What do you suggest?
Thanks in advance.

My recommendation:

There is also a 2003 version if you want that instead.

I have a number of books, one of which cost about £60. I have learnt little or nothing from them. I have found the best source of information is other people or searching the internet. There are a number of web sites that have free code that you can download. Forums such as this can help with coding problems.

Hi and thanks.
I totally agree with your comments, this forum is always my first
'port of call' for help and advice. I do search the web on a very frequent basis for answers to my problems however, I think that having some sort of text, on my desk and available immediately is a must have. For me, having no 'official' vb training, a good book, pitched at my personal ability is a good thing to have, especially now that these publications can be picked up at a fraction of their original cost.
I'm looking at Bobs recommendation in the above post. It has some favourable reviews.
Thanks
