Hello,

I have an access 2003 database that populates a header in a word 2003 report. Under the header the text will be unique, however when I go to each record in the mail merge the same text appears and it can not be deleted without erasing all the records. How can I make the text unique to each record? Thanks.

During the "merge" process, you CANNOT create anything unique within the merged documents (EXCEPT FOR THE UNIQUE DATA PULLED FROM THE SOURCE).
Aside from the different records, anything contained in the preliminary merge template will be contained in the final merged documents.

HOWEVER, after you actually perform the merge (complete the final step) you will have several documents into which different text can be placed.

Alternately, if you need to have individual content, you can place that content in the data source and add that field to the merge template.
