Will meybe be getting new machine which will probably come with Vista

Are there any compatability problems with Office/ I have Office 2000 and wondered if Vista would be happy with this.

Yep should do (well SP3 anyway) - clicky (http://iexbeta.com/wiki/index.php/Windows_Vista_RTM_Software_Compatibility_List) < the full list. It should also work in compatibility mode if you don't have or want SP3.
