View Full Version : Network Print Server Question

We have a network print server and often in the que of all the printers it will say "Unable to connect" and i will go reset the server and it goes away for awhile and then will appear again. Sometimes say last week it rarely did this, but so far this week i have reset that server alomst 20 times in order for our 60 employees to beable to print. does anyone know why this message appears on our print que.

I regularly had this problem when new printers were installed and that were set to go into sleep mode (usually after 20 minutes) and sending a new print file from the server did not 'wake them up'

I have the same thing happening but only on one of our printers (Oki C5200 Laser Printer)

It turned out to be the sleep settings for the printer also 'disconnected' the network connection.
