Hi ...
Is it possible to design an invoice in Access (in Forms I assume) using information either from a query or table? Is it possible to add text that isn't a field anywhere else in the database? Is there a tutorial available somewhere? I use Office 97, but hope to have 2000 installed soon.
Thanks for any advice ....

Yes. However, the information that's not in the table, where's it going to come from.
You have a form, containing various info in various fields that you want to be on the invoice, somehow your get a customer, then click a button which creates one or more invoices (preferably many) incorporating info from the form and using the table as the record source for your invoice.
This is vary basic stuff!

Sorry, I guess I'm posting to the wrong place - it won't happen again.
BTW - it's only very basic when you're an expert. :-)

Joan -
Let me apologize for the comments of llkhoutx. Most of us were not born knowing Access so we have had to do what you are doing and that is to ask questions so we could learn it.
To answer your question, yes you can add text to a form that is not anywere in the database. You create labels and you can put anything you like in them. You can put pictures, logos, lots of things on a form so you are not limited to what is in a table. I will be sending you some web sites that will lead you to some tutorials and any other data that I think may be helpful in your quest.

Check out the Northwind, Orders,Solutions sample databases they have examples of invoicing along with a lot more.
Why do you hope to have 2000 soon?

Office 2000 - the story of my life! I ordered it through the least expensive source and of course it's been on backorder since February 12th!
