Hi.
Both of our 2 new laser printers frequently print lines of text slanted by approx. 1/8" side-by-sde.
Is this normal?
What can be done about it?

I doubt it. There is probably something wrong with the paper handling mechanism. It is still under warranty so check with either the manufacturer or the location where you got the printers.

Is this the whole page or just random lines of text?

If it's the whole page, some basic steps would be to check the paper tray guides are adjusted properly so the paper is being fed into the printer correctly. Secondly, check that the paper you are using is suitable for the printer, sounds stupid I know but when the registration assembly aligns the page, if the paper is not suitable, then the page will not be aligned correctly.

If it is just random lines, it could be a firmware or driver issue. Have you tried unistalling and reinstalling the print driver?
For firmware, go to the manufacturers website to download the latest version.

Another thing to check would be the application, does it only happen from the same application (some HP printers struggle with PDF docs), if so, the printer may not be the issue...

If you need more help, please let us know the model of the printer(s)
