I have a main form that displays departmental information, and a sub-form within it that will be used for the data entry of departmental business records. In testing my forms, for some reason whenever I try to enter data into the sub-form portion of my form, I get a message that reads "This property is read-only and can't be set."

Does anyone know what that means and how I can fix it?

Check the subform properties.

Thanks for responding but I have gone over the sub-form's properties several times. I must be missing something but I can't figure out what it is. There is no property that says something like "Make read only - yes or no?" Does anyone know if there is something similar in the properties section of a form?

Are you sure on the subform properties you dont have the control source locked.

Do you have the form and subform relationship set correctly.
