Creating a "get external data" button

Hi guys,

I'm in the process of developing a new version of a telephone billing system. One of the issues I am going to have is that people using this database won't have access to a full version of access and will instead be using an RTE, this means that the get external data option under file will not be available. I imagine there must be a way of setting up a button on a form to give this option to the user... at least I hope so!

Any help will be greatly appreciated and I promise to buy a pint to the guy that gives me the solution!

You can use code (the DoCmd.TransferText or DoCmd.TransferSpreadsheet) to do that and if you use a browse feature like this:

you can have them browse to the file and do what you want with it via code.
