Hi!

I'm almost a noob, so I will appreciate any answer in advance:

I have a linked table, which I want to relocate with a new workbook that I made, but an error appears everytime I want to update the link in the "Linked Table Manager" that says:

(Microsoft Jet search engine can't find "FILENAME$" )

I think the whole address is correct but I don't get what does the "$" stands for? maybe for a named range?

I tried to named it like this but it still appears the same error, can somebody help me?

THANKS

You have linked an Excel sheet as a table in Access?
Perhaps there is a fieldname FILENAME$ in one of the cells in the sheet you attached?

Did you search for the string FILENAME$ in the Excel file?

Delete the link table and then re-create it again? I use access 2007, that's what I always do when I have problems relinking.
