I have 3000 sample records (converting for first time to access), such that last record has a unique personnel ID no of 3071, this field also being my primary key. How do I set to autonumber for new records such that they start at 3072, incrementing by 1?
Is this done in format or validation box from input form design?

Search Help for Autonumber and then select 'Change the starting value...'. It will lead you through the process.
