I am creating a table about recording train delays, there are numerous trains and they could all be delayed or cancelled for the same reason, i.e. Landslide or Lightning Strike etc.
Can anyone tell me the best way to record this info without having to type in the same thing numerous times ????

Thanks for reply, I know how to create a lookup but because the causes could be so varied a drop down list would be very long !, can I relate the delay to a delay that was inserted previous i.e. 76328 caused delay due to losing wheels !
That is what I mean by duplicating the data maybe 8 times over or more, an hour later maybe 54387 caused delay to 9 trains due to windscreen fell off !!! I just dont want to duplicate in the field for delay explanation 8 times over etc !
Could you explain a little further maybe I've misunderstood !!
