Can I install Excel 2007 on my D drive while leaving Excel/Office 2003 safe on my C drive?

you can do this, but i have found references to excel objects in VBA in pretty much a crapshoot in terms of what version it will use. then there are always the snags with setting the associations of the file types.

I don't think it will be an issue. There are more issues with installing multiple versions of Access. That is much more complex, and I wouldn't recommend ever doing that. It caused havoc for me having 2003 and 2007 on my machine at the same time. Now I use different machines for each version.

Thanks, I put 2007 onto my D drive and both Excel 2003 on my C drive and 2007 on my D drive do seem to work.
