Hi

I've created a basic database and have split it into back and front end as is recommended. However when i send out the front-end shortcut to other users on our network they are unable to make chages or add new items. It seems like a simple question but is there a simple solution to this? I've even made sure it's set to "shared" mode and that the form has the "Edited Record" setting activated so it only locks the record being edited.:confused:

You don't send the other users' a short cut, you send them the complete "front end" version of your database.

Make sure that they copy your front_end database and put it on their desktop, if all you tables all linked correctly it will run very smoothly....
