i want to ask about sum function

I have two columns in my table . one for the names and one for type of car.
and I want to make a report to calculate number of people depends on the car type ( I want to divided them depends on their car type).

And after that I want to know the total number of people depends on the car type.

plz help me :(

look up 'total records' in access help. hopefully that will get you going.
