The following was posted on our local council intranet, so presumably it's not a hoax.



SCAM - Phoenix Mailing Ltd






Calls are being made to from the above company to usually to the reception desk and enquire if we require any mailing labels. They do not to take no for an answer and persist until they hear something resembling an agreement. Delivery is made and an invoice is sent for an item that is not required or was not requested.

Trading Standards have advised that we circulate this information and that anyone receiving a call of this nature hangs up the telephone.
