Hoe can I lanch my database by clicking on an icon that I have?

To create an icon for your database, use the standard windows method;
1)open up Windows
2)single click on the db file
3)click/hold the right mouse button on the db file
4)WHILE HOLDING the right button down
5)drag it to your desktop, and release mouse button.
6)when you release button a short menu will appear
7)select"create shortcut here"

There you go !

I don't want a shortcut to my database. I want to use a customised icon - one which I have downloaded from the web! I want my user to be able to click on the icon and launch the DB

If you don't have a shortcut to your database yet create one. Once created right click on the shortcut select properties and select the change icon button and then find the path to your downloaded icon
