I have a splash screen that works fine on the LAN. However whenever the database is copied onto a laptop or other PC (eg my one at home) with no LAN connection, the database locks up on the splash screen. The only way to get around it, is to right click, put the splash screen into design mode and then close it. The database has no security yet (no workgroups etc). Can anyone suggest what might be causing the problem?

First thought is that the splash screen is referencing a picture that is located on the lan. When off of the lan, Access loses its mind trying to find the image.
