Hi, I am trying to convert the absence recording system from excel to access.

The problem I have is in calculating entitlements for employees based on their employee type (1 or 2) and their start date. I want the query to look up the employee type and the start date and return the correct leave entitlement. Entitlement increases annually and is different dependant on the employee type.

I have attached a copy of the entitlement table which shows the entitlements and another which shows the relationships between the tables

Am I barking up the wrong tree, have I missed anything from my tables?Any clues to point me in the right direction would be much appreciated
