You may want to consider using a transfer instead. Is that possible? moose 09-28-2001, 12:16 AM I ACTUALLY NEED TO E-MAIL IT TO EXTERNAL COMPANIES THAT ARE NOT ON OUR NETWORK SO I DON'T THINK I CAN USE TRANSFER Chris RR 09-28-2001, 04:39 AM Couldn't you create a report to look exactly like your form, and email that? Rich@ITTC 09-28-2001, 04:39 AM Hi Moose Isn't it more usual to email a report (which can be based on a form). I don't understand how you can email a form as it is an object within a database (it is part of a .mdb file). A report could be saved as a Word document, as a SnapShot file (and the SnapShot viewer can be downloaded for free) or it could be saved as a pdf file via Adobe Acrobat Writer. I personally favour Acrobat as the formatting for some fairly complex invoices remains consistent ... whereas with the supposed integration of Office programmes (Access -> Word) leads to a total jumbled up mess of columns, headers, logos etc all over the place! I have ran into this before and the only way I could come up with a solution was to send then a database with a update form. They would open the database I sent them and press a button and then all the updated objects would be transferred over to their existing database. Of course I had the advantage of knowing drive paths so that part was pretty simple. |
