Hey all,

First up my apologises for asking such a basic question.

I have designed a customer details database and from that a customer details report (name, address, discount, comments etc). There are two fields Contact Type (eg Owner, Buyer, Owner/Buyer) and Order Type (eg Sale or Return, Firm Sale, etc).

In From view these two bits of information are recorded via a drop down box and stored in the table as the ID number (1 = Owner, 2 = Buyer, etc).

When I run the report with these two fields in it the report throws back the ID number not the corresponding ID description.

I have tried everything but have failed ! Any suggestions/help would be greatly appreciated.

Add the table to the query the Report's based on, select the description instead of the ID
